Meet the Day Camp Staff

Fessenden Summer Camps

The single most important aspect of any summer camp is the people who run it and who care for and mentor children day in and day out. At Fessenden, we’re proud to say we have some of the best. Our summer staff includes teachers, college and high school students, as well as specialists who provide their specific expertise for activities. Highly qualified, superbly trained, and deeply compassionate, our people make Fessenden Day Camp the great place it is.

In my free time…
I love to spend time with my family and go on adventures with them. I also enjoy running and playing sports, and am a passionate fan of the Patriots and football. Plus, I’m always on the lookout for a good movie or book.

My favorite book is…
The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien.

What I love about camp is…
The broad range of activities, the amazing community of caring and innovative staff, and energetic and enthusiastic campers.

Jenn Whalen-Sirois, Camp Administrator
(2 Years at Fessenden)

Before coming to Fessenden, Jenn spent the majority of her camping career at Camp Bernadette, in Wolfeboro, NH, most recently as their Resident Director. Jenn has experienced summer camp from a variety of lenses, including a camper, CIT, counselor, program director, director and most importantly, as the parent of three young campers.  Jenn is an active member of the American Camp Association where she volunteers as a Camp Accreditation Visitor.  She has also worked as a Middle School math and science teacher in Medford, MA . Jenn is a graduate of Boston University and a lover of all Boston’s local sports teams.

My family…
I have a 15 year old daughter and two sons, ages 10 and 13, who all love summer camp.  We live in Burlington with our standard poodle, Bridie.

My favorite movie is…
Hunt for the Wunderpeople.  Not many people have seen this one, but it is a hysterical movie for the whole family that is chock-full of life lessons!

What I love about camp is…
Camp is all about building relationships.  The best part of camp is meeting new people and making new friends, all while having a blast!

In my free time…
I love traveling to new places. A few years ago, I went to Jamaica and had a blast hiking up waterfalls!

What I love about camp is…
I love summers at Fessy to catch up with all the campers. It is so great seeing them grow from year to year!
