Music and Video Production
Welcome to Music and Video Production, an exciting and creative camp experience where students become artists, producers, and filmmakers all in one!
Campers will explore the fundamentals of digital music production and video creation using Soundtrap, an interactive, web-based studio that makes composing and collaborating easier than ever. Through this accessible platform, campers will learn to record, mix, and edit music while experimenting with instruments, loops, and vocals across a variety of genres.
Each session blends creativity, technology, and storytelling, empowering campers to produce original tracks and music videos that showcase their artistic vision. By the end of the week, every camper will have a finished song or short video to share with family and friends.
NEW THIS YEAR: In addition to our Plus Camp, Full-Day program, this year we have added half-day options for each session. Campers can choose to leave at 12:00 pm after the Music and Video Production session.

Warren Charleston '12
This is Warren’s third year Directing the Digital Music & Video Production. Warren Charleston is a Fessenden Alumni Class of 2012. He currently teaches 6th Grade Cultural Geography, 5th & 6th Grade Life and Leadership, and 7th grade Health & Wellness in the Middle and Upper School at Fessenden. He is also a hip hop recording artist under the name Warren the Alchemist (WTA) and is based in Boston, MA. He has performed at the Sonia in the Middle East restaurant in Cambridge, MA, The Monkey Bar in Amherst, MA, The Hawks and Reed performing Arts center in Greenfield, MA, Lit Amherst night club in Amherst, MA, and the Powerhouse at Amherst College. His music engineering experience comes from working at The Mix Loft Recording Studio in Quincy, MA and he has taught digital music classes at summer camps and schools prior to working at Fessenden.

- Description: Reimagine the Sound. Campers become remix artists, taking familiar songs and transforming them with their own creative twist. They’ll learn about sampling, rhythm changes, and remix techniques to produce a fresh version of a track they know and love. Throughout the camp, our dedicated instructors will provide guidance and support, ensuring that each camper reaches their full potential. By the end of this musical journey, your children will not only have expanded their musical horizons but also created a portfolio of original music and videos to showcase their newfound talents to family and friends. This program is a half day (9am-12pm), and only includes the Music and Video Production portion. Full Day (9am-4pm) options are also available.

Campers will direct and star in their own short music video, learning basic storyboarding, filming, and editing to bring their song to life on screen. Throughout the camp, our dedicated instructors will provide guidance and support, ensuring that each camper reaches their full potential. By the end of this musical journey, your children will not only have expanded their musical horizons but also created a portfolio of original music and videos to showcase their newfound talents to family and friends.
