Coach Charleston Junior Basketball Camp Director

Coach Charleston is a proud Fessenden alum and lifelong member of the Fessy basketball community. As a former Varsity player during his time at Fessenden, he’s come full circle, now helping young athletes develop the same love for the game that shaped his own journey.  He has coached at multiple levels at Fessenden, serving as the Varsity Basketball Assistant Coach for two years, leading the 6th Grade team for one season, and currently entering his second year as Head Coach of 5th Grade Basketball.  Beyond basketball, Coach Charleston is also a former Division I track and field athlete from UMass Amherst, where he competed with the same focus, discipline, and drive he now instills in his players.  Off the court, he serves as the Personal Growth and Development Department Chair and Interim Middle School Dean of Students at Fessenden, where he fosters leadership, character, and community across the school.

Danielle Chambrelli Girls Lacrosse Camp Director 3 Years at Fessenden

2026 will be Danielle’s second year as Camp’s Girls Lacrosse Camp Director.  Danielle has been a Kindergarten teacher at The Fessenden School for three years.  Along with teaching, Danielle coaches one of the Upper School Lacrosse teams at Fessenden. Danielle has been teaching for 7 years in Massachusetts. She has experience coaching and being a counselor at various YMCA camps such as YMCA Youth Sports Camp in Connecticut. Danielle received her Bachelor’s in Curriculum and Instruction and her Master’s Degree in Curriculum, Leadership and Inclusion at Lasell College. Danielle grew up playing lacrosse and played at the collegiate level at Lasell College, now Lasell University.

My hobbies are..

I love to travel. I love traveling to places where there is a beach so that I can swim in the ocean and read while listening to the waves. I also love supporting various sports teams, some of my favorites are the Yankees, Juventus and the Bruins! Another hobby of mine is baking!

My favorite thing about camp is..

One of my favorite things to do at camp is to have fun laughing and teaching new skills!
Fessenden Summer Camps Coach Rory Sandborn

Coach Rory Sanborn Lacrosse Camp Director 15 Years at Fessenden

Rory Sanborn started playing lacrosse at age 7 in Baltimore, MD. He was a three-year starter at McDonogh School, a top ranked team nationally. He went on to play four years of Varsity lacrosse at Middlebury College, winning the NESCAC Championship three times, and featuring in the NCAA Tournament all four years – finishing runner up in 2005. Rory has coached Varsity and Junior Varsity lacrosse for McDonogh School, coached and played lacrosse in England, and remains involved with the U.S. Lacrosse foundation. Before he became a teacher and coach at Fessenden, Rory worked in finance and sales with the Warrior and Brine lacrosse brands. After several years as the Middle School Dean of Students and a 6th Grade English teacher at Fessenden, Rory now serves as the School’s Althletic Director. Rory graduated from Middlebury College.

Mike Tootill T-Squared Squash Academy 6 Years at Fessenden

T-Squared Squash Academy is a full-service training and development program for squash players of all ages and abilities, from beginner level through to National Junior Team and elite college level.

T-Squared Squash Academy coaches include former national ranked players who have been and are coaches at top secondary schools and colleges.

T-Squared Squash Academy has helped hundreds of junior players realize their squash dreams and many of our players have gone on to achieve top 10 National Junior rankings. Current and former players have gone on to play at many of the most prestigious college squash programs in the country.

Nicki Brill Soccer Camp Director 6 Years at Fessenden

2026 will be Nicki’s third summer directing the Fessenden Soccer Camp.  Nicki Brill is an 8th grade Math teacher at the Fessenden School where she is the Assistant Coach of the Varsity soccer team in the fall, 7th grade Head basketball coach in the winter, and tennis coach in the spring. She also coaches for Newton Girls Soccer. Nicki played Varsity soccer all four years in high school in Westport, CT at Staples High School. She went on to be a four-year starter at Bates College and was Captain her senior year. Nicki received her BA in Environmental Studies and Teacher Education at Bates. She received her Masters in Education Management from King’s College London where she also played soccer and was MVP of the team in 2018.
